Why Candidates Should Read the Official Notification
It is mandatory for all aspirants to carefully read the official CEN No. 06/2026 notification to understand the intricate details regarding eligibility, specific medical criteria, exact vacancy breakdowns per RRB, formats for caste/EWS certificates, and the strict rules concerning Live Photography and signature uploads. Reading the official rules ensures candidates are fully aware of selection procedures, negative marking schemes, and strict rules against multiple applications and unfair practices.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Submitting multiple applications to different RRBs or the same RRB (leads to lifetime debarment).
- Uploading a pre-existing photograph instead of using the Live Capture feature.
- Uploading a signature written in BLOCK/CAPITAL letters or in non-black ink.
- Selecting incorrect categories (EBC vs EWS vs OBC) and failing to produce valid certificates.
- Failing to provide Aadhaar verification, which complicates the fee refund process.
- Waiting until the last date to apply, risking heavy website traffic.
- Providing an invalid mobile number or email ID during “Create an Account”.
- Missing the fee payment deadline.
Candidate Tips
- Read the official notification completely to verify medical and educational eligibility.
- Authenticate your identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the registration step for a smoother process.
- Ensure your live photograph has a plain white background and you are wearing dark-colored clothing for contrast.
- Check your chosen RRB and Post Preferences thoroughly before saving, as the selected RRB cannot be modified.
- Save your login credentials securely, as RRBs will not entertain requests to change email or mobile details.
- Monitor the official RRB websites frequently for CBT exam schedules and admit card updates.
