The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released the Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 02/2026 for the recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III posts. A total of 6,557 vacancies have been announced across various Railway Zones in India.
Candidates who possess the required ITI, Act Apprenticeship, Diploma (where applicable), or Engineering qualifications can submit their applications online from 30 June 2026. The last date to submit the online application is 29 July 2026.

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of:
Computer Based Test (CBT)
Document Verification (DV)
Medical Examination
There will be negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer in CBT.
Medical Standards
Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification (DV) must undergo a medical examination conducted by the Railway Administration. They must meet the prescribed medical standards for the post they have applied for.

Important Medical Instructions
Candidates must satisfy the medical standard prescribed for their selected post.
Technician Grade-I Signal requires B1 Medical Standard.
Technician Grade-III posts require A3, B1, B2, or C1 medical standards depending on the specific trade/post.
Candidates who have undergone LASIK or any refractive eye surgery are NOT eligible for posts requiring A3 Medical Standard.
Candidates declared medically unfit for higher-preference posts but fit for lower-preference posts within the same pay level may be allotted the lower-preference post, subject to merit and vacancy.
A one-time Medical Appeal is allowed only in eligible cases where no post can be allotted solely due to medical unfitness. The decision of the appeal medical examination will be final.
Medical fitness will be verified only after candidates qualify the CBT and Document Verification stages.
