RBI Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifications: Applicants should at a minimum, possess MBBS degree from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system of medicine.

• Essential qualifications: Minimum of two (02) years’ of experience practicing medicine in any hospital or clinic.

• Desirable: Applicants having post graduate degree in General Medicine can also apply.

• Residence Requirement: The applicants should have his/her dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 10-15 kms from the dispensaries located at Bank’s Office Premise/ Reserve Bank of India Officers’ Colony in Guwahati.

Salary/Stipend

• Hourly Remuneration: A fixed remuneration of ₹1000/- per hour for the entire three-year contract period.

• Conveyance Expenses: ₹1,000/- per month shall be treated as conveyance expenses (part of total remuneration).

• Mobile Charges: Reimbursement of mobile charges of ₹1,000/- per month.

• If required to attend on a public holiday, compensation @ ₹1000/- per hour would be paid.

• No eligibility for superannuation benefits (Pension, PF, Gratuity), leave, or other perks/facilities of regular employees.

Selection Process

• Selection will be made through an interview of eligible candidates conducted by the Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati.

• The Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for interview.

• Shortlisted applicants after the interview will undergo medical tests as per prescribed norms (cost borne by the applicant).

• Final appointment is subject to being found medically fit and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and Code of Conduct.

General Information/Instructions

• The engagement is purely temporary on a contract basis for a period of three years. There will be no renewal upon completion.

• The selected candidate will work 04 hours per day during Bank's working hours (Monday to Friday) at two dispensary locations in Guwahati.

• The BMC will perform duties of a General Medical Practitioner, including treatment of staff/families, minor surgeries, issuing certificates, and inspecting premises for sanitation.

• In case of absence, the BMC must arrange a qualified substitute at their own risk and cost.

• The contract is terminable on three months’ notice from either side, or 10 days' notice in cases of gross misconduct.
